Can sleep deprivation cause vomiting?

Dealing with a newborn baby means sleep has been almost non-existent for me these past few weeks. This morning, after another terrible night, I actually threw up. Could extreme sleep deprivation be making me vomit?

With my PCOS, hormone fluctuations combined with lack of sleep often trigger heavy nausea and vomiting. It really messes with our digestion. But if you are throwing up repeatedly, please check with a doctor to be safe.

Honestly, after working a 16-hour shift and sleeping for just 2 hours, my stomach completely quits on me. I wake up feeling like I have a massive hangover without even drinking! Yes, it definitely causes vomiting for me.

Vomiting can be caused by food poisoning, acidity, or even blood pressure issues, not just sleep loss. Don't rely on online advice for this. If you can't keep fluids down, go see a doctor immediately.

Sleep is crucial for digestion and gut health. Whenever my sleep schedule is completely ruined, my stomach acid goes crazy and I feel like throwing up. I usually keep my meals very light on those days and skip heavy lifting.

When your body doesn't get recovery time, your digestion takes a hit. I feel very nauseous when I sleep less. I usually just go for a very slow, mindful walk in the park to digest my food, but only if I feel up to it.

Dude, during exam weeks I barely sleep and end up throwing up my morning chai. The stress and no sleep combo is literally the worst for the stomach. Just try to get some sleep after your exams, it helps.

My stomach is like a drama queen; if it doesn't get its beauty sleep, it rebels by throwing everything out! Don't worry too much, it is just your body throwing a tantrum. Drink some limbu pani and go to bed.

My mother always tells me to drink ginger tea when I feel sick from lack of sleep. It does soothe the stomach, but if the vomiting is severe or continuous, please consult a doctor without any delay.
