Can sleep deprivation cause vertigo?

As I get older, my sleep has become very fragmented, waking up many times a night. Lately, episodes of vertigo, making me feel very dizzy and off-balance, have also started. I'm wondering if there's a connection; can not getting enough deep sleep cause vertigo?

Yes, extreme exhaustion can definitely affect your inner ear and balance, leading to a spinning sensation. However, vertigo can have various underlying causes, so it is best to consult an ENT specialist for an accurate diagnosis.

Haan beta, jab shareer ko aaram nahi milta toh sir ghumne lagta hai. When I don't sleep, the whole room spins when I get up from bed. Please eat some light food and take a good afternoon nap today.

I remember panicking so hard the first time my head spun after a sleepless night, I thought it was something major. Turns out, it was just my body's way of forcing me to sleep. Don't worry, just catch up on your sleep!

Lack of rest agitates our nervous system, which can cause this giddiness. Try doing very gentle deep breathing like Anulom Vilom in a seated position. It helped me immensely when I suffered from sleep-induced dizziness.

I know exactly how terrifying it feels when the world starts spinning around you, it makes you panic so much. But sleep deprivation is a very common trigger for dizziness. Just lie down in a dark room and try to breathe calmly.

Don't start trying random home remedies or exercises you find online for vertigo. Spinning sensations can sometimes be linked to blood pressure or ear issues. Go to a proper clinic and get it checked by a doctor first.

When my sleep cycle is broken, I feel quite off-balance and lightheaded. I usually avoid heavy gym sessions on those days and just go for a slow walk to get some fresh air, but only if the dizziness isn't too severe.
