Can sleep apnea cause vomiting?

Sometimes I wake up feeling nauseous and occasionally even vomit, especially after a night where I know my sleep was very disturbed. I also have sleep apnea. Could sleep apnea be a reason for these episodes of vomiting?

I have to be very careful with my diet and morning nausea because of my diabetes. While acid reflux from sleep apnea can sometimes cause a choking feeling and vomiting, you must consult a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis.

Yes, the severe acid reflux caused by breathing struggles at night can sometimes trigger morning nausea or vomiting. It's a distressing issue, so I highly recommend getting a proper medical checkup to find the root cause.

At my age, waking up with a sour stomach is normal, but actual vomiting is where I draw the line! The pressure changes in your chest during apnea can cause bad reflux, so do yourself a favor and see a doctor.

I am quite new to this group and wanted to ask if anyone else feels extremely nauseous after waking up from a loud snoring episode? I've been experiencing this lately and it makes me a bit worried.

I get so anxious whenever I feel nauseous, thinking my body is facing some major crisis. But nausea can be linked to sleep apnea due to severe acid reflux. Please get it checked by a doctor to help ease your mind.

My son used to gag and occasionally vomit at night because his severe snoring triggered bad reflux. It was so worrying for us as parents. Getting his sleep issues treated solved it, so please consult a specialist.

If you need an endoscopy or sleep study to see why you are vomiting, compare rates at local charitable hospitals as they are much more affordable. Plan your budget for a proper medical checkup soon.

I can only share that I used to wake up choking on acid, which occasionally led to vomiting. Once my doctor diagnosed my sleep apnea and started treatment, that issue completely stopped. Definitely seek professional medical advice.

Hey, don't stress too much, okay? Waking up with a sick stomach is awful, but it's often just bad acid reflux triggered by the breathing blocks at night. Just get a quick checkup with a doctor to get some relief.

Waking up and immediately hugging the toilet is definitely not the best start to your morning! It's usually just severe acid reflux from snoring. Go get it checked by a doctor so you can enjoy your morning tea in peace.

Honestly, waking up feeling like throwing up is the worst feeling ever, especially before a college lecture. If this is happening regularly along with snoring, you should definitely get a doctor to check it out.
