Can skinny people get type 2 diabetes?

My family has a history of type 2 diabetes, but I'm quite lean and active. I always thought it was mainly an issue for overweight people. Is it possible for someone with a normal or low BMI to still develop type 2 diabetes?

I actually didn't know this was possible until recently. I always thought Type 2 was only related to being overweight. Is it true that genetics can cause this even if someone has a very small appetite and a low body weight?

Yes, even a slender body can harbor stress and metabolic imbalance leading to Type 2 diabetes. Through gentle pranayama and a balanced lifestyle, we can restore harmony to our internal organs. However, please continue with your doctor's recommended medical tests to monitor your sugar levels.

Yes, even thin individuals can have high blood sugar due to liver sluggishness or genetics. Drinking warm water with cinnamon or amla can support your metabolism naturally, but if you have symptoms like extreme thirst or frequent urination, please consult an allopathic doctor for a proper test.

Haan beta, physical appearance can be deceiving. My neighbor is very lean and eats very little, but he still got diagnosed with sugar disease. Please do not ignore your health just because you are thin; go to a doctor and get your blood checked.

Yes, they can. I tried so many home remedies like methi seeds and bitter gourd juice for my family members, but we realized that medical supervision is must. Even if you look thin, the insulin in your body might not be working right, so please get a proper checkup.

Haan na, people think being slim means 100% healthy, but that is not true. Skinny people can definitely get Type 2 diabetes because of stress or bad lifestyle. It's better to get a regular blood test done instead of ignoring it, ho na.
