Can sinus problems cause migraine headaches?

For years, chronic sinus issues have bothered me, and now I'm starting to get these really severe headaches that feel like migraines. I was wondering if my ongoing sinus problems could be the reason for these new migraine headaches?

Yes, it can, but before you spend thousands on brain scans or heavy migraine medicines, consult a general physician first. Sometimes, just treating the sinus blockage with basic, affordable decongestants is enough to stop the headaches. Plan your medical visits practically.

Yes, severe sinus pressure can definitely trigger or worsen migraine headaches. It's best to consult a doctor to get the right diagnosis and treatment.

Yes, sinus blockages and migraines are very closely related. A simple workable solution is to do regular steam inhalation to relieve the nasal congestion, which often reduces the intensity of the headache. If that doesn't help, definitely visit your family doctor.

I used to panic thinking I had some major neurological issue whenever my sinus flare-ups turned into throbbing migraines. But after consulting my doctor, I realized it's actually quite a common trigger. Try to stay calm, rest well, and let a professional handle it.

Don't worry too much, the intense pressure in your facial cavities can easily trigger a migraine headache. Try to rest in a quiet, dark room and keep yourself hydrated. If the pain is too severe or doesn't go away, please let a doctor guide your treatment.
