Can sinus pressure cause eye pain?

Severe sinus pressure hit me today, and now my eyes are also hurting, especially behind them. I wanted to know if this eye pain is a common symptom of sinus pressure?

Please be cautious. I once ignored intense pain behind my eye, assuming it was just sinus, and it turned out to be a severe infection that required strong medical intervention. Any eye pain should be evaluated by a doctor immediately to prevent complications.

Look, your sinuses are literally surrounding your eyes, so of course the pressure will make your eyes hurt. Don't sit and tolerate it. Go to an ENT doctor and get proper decongestant drops instead of waiting.

Yes, it can. I find that avoiding heavy, mucus-producing foods like cold dairy helps reduce the pressure behind my eyes. Sip warm herbal teas, but definitely consult a doctor for a proper checkup.

Yes, sinus swelling often presses on the nerves around the eyes. I log these headaches in my health tracker and notice they always coincide with high pollen days. Using a saline rinse as recommended by my doctor helps, but get a professional opinion.

I had this exact eye pressure last winter and went to Medanta. The doctor clearly explained how the frontal sinuses put pressure on the ocular area. Ask your doctor clearly about this so they can give you the right treatment.
