Can sinus infection cause asthma?

My doctor told me I have a sinus infection that's not clearing up. I've also noticed my breathing becoming a bit wheezy, like mild asthma. Is there a connection between these two, yaani, can a sinus infection trigger asthma?

I manage hypothyroidism and notice that whenever my sinus flares up, my breathing also gets heavier. Sinusitis and asthma are very closely linked because they are both parts of the same airway. Make sure you get your regular blood tests and follow up with your doctor so they can adjust your meds if the congestion is triggering wheezing.

Haan, bilkul trigger kar sakta hai. Actually, the upper and lower airways are connected, toh sinus ki problem seedha chest pe hit karti hai, na? Merko bhi jab extreme sinus hota hai, heavy breathing shuru ho jati hai. Doctor ko dikha lo ek baar proper treatment ke liye.

Stay positive, your body has the strength to heal. Yes, sinus blocks can sometimes affect our lungs and make breathing a little heavy. Take deep, slow breaths when you can, keep your mind calm, and let the doctors guide your treatment. Wishing you lots of peace and a very speedy recovery.

Please be very careful with this. I ignored my sinus issues for months thinking it was just a normal cold, but the post-nasal drip eventually went down to my chest and triggered severe breathing issues. Do not wait for things to get complicated, go see a specialist immediately to get a proper inhaler or treatment.

Ha beta, jab naak band hoti hai toh saans lene mein bohot takleef hoti hai aur chhati bhari ho jati hai. Humare yahan kehte hain ki thand baithne se aisi pareshani badh jati hai. Aap thoda garm pani piyo aur doctor babu ko zaroor dikhao taaki saans lene mein aaram mile.

From what I've seen in the gym, many clients with sinus issues suffer from exercise-induced breathing trouble too. When your nasal passages are blocked, you breathe through your mouth, which brings dry, cold air directly into the lungs and can mimic or trigger asthma. Focus on anti-inflammatory clean foods and get a proper diagnosis from a physician.

Yes, sinus inflammation can definitely worsen asthma symptoms or trigger wheezing. Personally, I find that a light, slow walk in the fresh morning air helps open up my airways, but only when my doctor says it's fine. Don't strain yourself if your chest feels heavy; rest is equally important.
