Can shockwave therapy cause cancer?

My physiotherapist suggested shockwave therapy for my chronic heel pain. I'm researching it, but I'm a bit concerned about long-term effects. Can shockwave therapy potentially cause cancer? I want to make an informed decision.

I was super scared before getting shockwave therapy for my heel pain last year because the word 'shockwave' sounds so intense. But my physiotherapist explained it's just sound waves, not radiation, so there is zero risk of cancer. It really helped my pain, so don't worry too much!

From what I have read, shockwave therapy is completely non-invasive and does not use any harmful radiation that could cause cancer. It just uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing in muscles and tissues. Along with the therapy, eating a clean, antioxidant-rich vegetarian diet helps speed up recovery.

I am advised to get this therapy for my shoulder injury, but I am really nervous about the safety. Does it hurt during the session, and are there any other side effects we should ask the doctor about before starting?

I was researching this therapy for my dad's chronic back issue. All the medical literature says shockwave therapy only uses high-energy sound waves to boost blood flow, which is totally different from cancer-causing radiation. It seems quite safe, but always good to ask the specialist directly.

I had six sessions of shockwave therapy for plantar fasciitis. It is a highly regulated, FDA-approved treatment that has nothing to do with cancer. Just make sure you get it done from a certified physiotherapist at a reputed clinic to ensure proper settings are used.

I track all my health and rehab data on my smart apps, and shockwave therapy is actually rated very highly for tissue repair. It uses mechanical acoustic waves, not ionizing radiation, so there is no cancer risk at all. It's a very modern, safe tech for sports injuries.
