Can shingles cause pain in lower back?

I had shingles on my torso a few months ago, and now I'm having persistent pain in my lower back. I didn't have this issue before. Could shingles be responsible for causing pain in the lower back?

You can try applying a cool compress to the rash area to soothe the surface irritation, but lower back pain from shingles is deep inside the nerves. If the pain becomes unbearable or shoots down your legs, please see a doctor immediately. Do not rely only on home tips for nerve pain.

If you have shingles on your waist or lower torso, it will definitely cause severe lower back pain that can keep you away from work. Skip the home remedies and schedule an online doctor consultation immediately. Getting antivirals within the first 3 days is crucial to save weeks of suffering.

Look, shingles is a nerve virus, so if it strikes your lower body, your lower back is bound to hurt like crazy. Don't start doing heavy back exercises thinking it's a regular sprain, you will make it worse. Just take total bed rest and use the medicines your doctor gave.

Yes, it causes very sharp lower back pain. A simple workable solution is to wear loose cotton clothes so nothing rubs against the rash, and rest in a comfortable position. Avoid lifting any heavy buckets or bags until the virus clears up completely.
