Can shingles cause abdominal pain and bloating?

I'm recovering from a recent shingles outbreak, and now I'm experiencing some strange abdominal pain and bloating. Could these symptoms be related to the shingles, or is it likely something else completely? I'm quite uncomfortable.

Abdominal pain can be a sign of many things, but shingles can definitely mimic stomach pain if the nerve path is affected. Since stomach issues can sometimes turn serious quickly, please get it checked by a physician to rule out other complications.

In our days, we knew that shingles affects the internal nerves and can cause intense pain around the stomach area. You can drink warm ajwain water to soothe any mild bloating, but do not ignore the shingles pain. Seek the doctor's medicine timely.

You can try sipping some warm ginger tea or taking buttermilk to ease the bloating and gas. However, if the abdominal pain is sharp or accompanied by high fever, please see a doctor immediately. Shingles nerves can be very tricky to manage on your own.

Haan na, the pain can really travel to the stomach area and make you feel very uneasy and bloated. We think it is indigestion, but actually it is just the nerve virus acting up. Take light, simple food and keep taking your doctor's tablets.

I completely understand how scary it feels when you have shingles and then your stomach starts acting up too. The anxiety itself can cause major bloating, and shingles nerve pain in that region is extremely painful. Please take a deep breath, you are not alone, and a quick doctor visit will reassure you.

I panicked so much when my stomach started hurting during my shingles recovery, thinking it was an ulcer. My doctor explained that the nerve pain actually radiates to the front and feels like internal bloating. It went away entirely once the rash healed, so try not to stress.

When I had shingles on my waist ten years ago, the shooting pain felt like a severe stomach ache and I felt very bloated too. It is quite common because the virus travels along the nerves of your abdomen. Take your rest and follow your doctor's advice, it will slowly pass.
