Can shampoo get rid of dandruff?

I've tried a few different things for my dandruff, but nothing seems to really work. Can a good anti-dandruff shampoo actually get rid of dandruff completely, or is it more of a temporary fix?

Yes, but you need a shampoo with ketoconazole or zinc pyrithione, not regular cosmetic ones. Also, you have to leave it on your scalp for at least 5 minutes before washing, otherwise it won't work at all. This simple trick cleared my dandruff in three weeks.

I used random anti-dandruff shampoos for months and it turned into a severe fungal infection that ruined my scalp. Honestly, self-treating is not worth it if the flakes are thick and itchy. Please visit a skin doctor to get the right medicated shampoo prescribed.

Sometimes a dry or stressed mind shows up as skin issues like dandruff on our head. Use a gentle shampoo, keep yourself well-hydrated, and practice a little silence every day. Take care of your inner peace, and your physical body will slowly heal too.

I get so scared whenever I see flakes because I feel it might be some major infection. Standard shampoos work for mild issues, but make sure to dry your hair properly after washing, as damp scalp can breed more fungus. Hope it gets cleared soon, stay safe!

Medicated shampoos help, but your overall scalp health is linked to sweat and hygiene too. Regular cardio or a good daily walk improves blood flow to your scalp, which helps fight issues. Just wash your hair with plain water after a heavy workout to keep sweat from building up.

I kept ignoring my flaky scalp thinking a basic shampoo would cure it, but it turned out to be psoriasis. By the time I went to the clinic, I had lost a lot of hair. If your dandruff doesn't go away in a couple of weeks, get a checkup done before it worsens.
