Can severe stress cause a heart attack?

My work has been extremely stressful lately, and I've been feeling a lot of chest tightness and anxiety. A colleague told me that severe stress can actually trigger a heart attack. Is this something I should be seriously concerned about?

Dekho, direct heart attack toh nahi hota, par extreme stress blood pressure bahut badha deta hai jo heart par load dalta hai. Agar chest mein pain ya pressure feel ho raha hai, toh turant doctor ke paas jao. Drame mat karo, health pehle hai.

I can't give medical advice, but during a very stressful phase at my job, I experienced severe palpitations and tightness. My doctor told me my heart was physically fine but the panic was putting immense strain on my body. It really taught me to take mental health seriously.

At my age, even looking at my monthly bills gives me chest pressure! But seriously, severe stress combined with a bad lifestyle is a dangerous recipe for the heart. If you are feeling heavy in the chest, skip the stress management apps and go see a cardiologist.

Yes, extreme stress can definitely trigger heart complications by suddenly spiking your blood pressure. Please try meditation or seek professional help to manage daily stress before it affects your physical health.

Severe stress is bad, but worrying about hospital bills makes it worse. Honestly, getting a basic ECG and lipid profile done in a local lab costs only around 1000-1500 rupees and gives you total peace of mind. Plan a medical budget and get checked instead of stressing about heart attacks.

I was actually reading about this recently because of all the news about young people having cardiac events. Apparently, sudden extreme emotional stress can cause 'broken heart syndrome', which mimics a heart attack. It's really scary how much our mind affects our body.
