Can sepsis cause kidney failure?

A friend of mine recently recovered from sepsis, but he ended up with permanent kidney damage. His family is devastated. Is kidney failure a common complication or a severe outcome of sepsis?

Sepsis causes a sudden drop in blood pressure which can shut down the kidneys very fast. As someone who manages high BP, I know how sensitive kidneys are to pressure changes. This is a severe medical emergency.

Listen, sepsis is very dangerous and it directly attacks the kidneys due to low blood pressure. Don't waste even one minute thinking or reading online. Get the patient to the emergency room immediately.

For normal kidney health, drinking barley water is good, but for sepsis, home remedies will not work at all. Sepsis is a blood infection that can fail kidneys in hours. Please take them to a big hospital immediately.

I usually try home remedies for almost everything, but sepsis is a different beast altogether. It causes multi-organ failure including kidneys. You must rush to the ICU, only medical doctors and IV fluids can save them now.

In our family, we always emphasize resting during fever, but sepsis is a major emergency that causes acute kidney injury. My doctor uncle says that prompt antibiotic treatment in a hospital is the only way to save the kidneys.

At my age, I know that when the body's alarm system goes off with sepsis, the kidneys are often the first to take a hit and stop working. Don't play around with this. Hospitalize them immediately before things get worse.

This is definitely not something a glass of coconut water can fix! Sepsis can absolutely put the kidneys on strike. Keep your sense of humor for later and get the patient to a doctor right now.

Yes babuji, sepsis is a very big illness. It can damage the kidneys completely. Please don't keep the patient at home, take them to the city hospital where there is a kidney specialist.
