Can semaglutide cause liver problems?

I've been on semaglutide for about six months now. My recent blood test showed slightly elevated liver markers. I'm curious if this medication can lead to liver problems or if it's unrelated.

Actually yaar, semaglutide is usually prescribed to reduce fatty liver, but some people can have rare reactions. Best is to do an LFT test before starting so you have a baseline. Don't worry too much!

I totally get it, worrying about liver side effects when starting a new medicine is so scary. It actually often helps with fatty liver, but the anxiety is completely valid. Try to take it one day at a time.

I had some mild liver enzyme fluctuation when I started semaglutide, but it settled down in a month. My tip is to avoid alcohol completely while on this medication and eat clean, low-fat meals to give your liver an easier time.

I ignored dull pain in my upper abdomen once thinking it was just gas, and it turned out to be a liver issue. Please don't make my mistake. If you feel any unusual symptoms while on semaglutide, get it checked by a doctor immediately.

Clinical studies actually show semaglutide reduces liver inflammation in patients with NASH. However, my endocrinologist advised that anyone with a history of gallbladder or biliary issues should be carefully monitored. Always get a professional opinion.

Any new medication can affect liver enzymes, so you must get a proper Liver Function Test (LFT) done. Do not rely on internet forums. If you notice any yellowing of eyes or dark urine, go straight to a doctor.

Honestly, if you don't have time for regular follow-ups and blood tests, don't start these injections. Managing liver health on semaglutide requires regular 10-minute blood test appointments. Be realistic about your schedule.

Haan na, actually our liver has to process everything we take, so we must be very careful. Semaglutide is generally safe but doing a simple routine checkup is always better, ho na?

I've been on this for six months now. My liver enzymes actually improved because I lost a good amount of weight. Just stay hydrated and avoid heavy junk food, you'll be fine.

My mom was researching this drug and got super stressed about her liver. But her doctor told her it actually helps with liver fat in most cases. Just don't self-medicate guys, it's not worth it.

I track all my health vitals on my app. While semaglutide is known to reduce NAFLD (fatty liver), rare cases of liver injury have been reported. It's smart to log any symptoms like fatigue or nausea.

Agree with doing regular blood work. Keeping a check on your LFT levels every 3 months is a safe practice.

I always believe in protecting the liver with warm water and fresh turmeric. However, since semaglutide is a very strong pharmaceutical drug, you must consult your doctor if you experience severe vomiting or stomach pain.
