Can secondhand smoke cause cancer?

My office colleague smokes heavily right outside our cabin, and I can often smell it inside. I'm a non-smoker, but I'm concerned about the constant exposure. Can this much secondhand smoke really lead to cancer for me?

Don't rely on random forum answers for something as serious as cancer. Yes, medical science overwhelmingly states that secondhand smoke contains carcinogens and causes lung cancer. Always consult a qualified oncologist or physician for verified medical facts.

You can work out daily and eat perfectly, but breathing in secondhand smoke will still damage your lungs and can lead to cancer. It is highly toxic. Try to train in clean-air zones and avoid hanging out around people while they are smoking.

Back in our days, people used to smoke everywhere—buses, offices, homes. But now we know better, and the link between secondhand smoke and cancer is very real. Don't worry if you had minor exposure in the past, but definitely try to avoid smoky places from now on.

Yes, passive smoking is a proven cause of lung cancer. The smoke coming off the burning end of a cigarette actually has higher concentrations of certain toxic chemicals than the smoke inhaled by the smoker. Keep yourself and your family in smoke-free environments.

It definitely does. I read a lot about this because my dad used to be a heavy smoker, and passive smoke is basically like smoking yourself. The risk of lung cancer is real, so I had to strictly ask him to smoke outdoors only.
