Can scalp psoriasis be cured?

Having scalp psoriasis for years, it's so frustrating to manage. My doctor says there's no permanent cure, but I keep hearing about new treatments. Can scalp psoriasis truly be cured, or is it a lifelong condition?

Scalp psoriasis doesn't have a complete permanent cure, but it can be managed very well with proper treatment. Please don't lose heart, as many people live comfortably with it. Take care.

Don't run after people selling '100% cure' packages, scalp psoriasis is chronic but completely manageable. I use a salicylic acid shampoo to clear the scales and a prescribed steroid lotion during heavy flare-ups. Keeping stress low and exposing your scalp to mild morning sunlight also works wonders.

I have been dealing with scalp psoriasis for five years now. While there is no magic cure, I've managed to keep my scalp almost 90% clear by avoiding gluten, moisturizing with virgin coconut oil, and reducing my work stress. Everyone's body is different, so what worked for me might vary for you.

As someone managing diabetes, I know that inflammation in the body affects skin conditions like psoriasis too. While you cannot fully cure it, controlling your blood sugar levels and avoiding inflammatory foods like refined sugar can help reduce the frequency of scalp flares. Always work with your doctor.

My teenage son has scalp psoriasis, and honestly, we spent thousands looking for a permanent cure before realizing it's an autoimmune condition. Now we focus on managing his flares with coal tar shampoo and keeping his scalp moisturized. It's completely under control now and doesn't bother him much.

Autoimmune conditions like psoriasis often go hand-in-hand with thyroid imbalances, which I have faced myself. There is no permanent cure, but regular follow-ups with your doctor and monitoring your blood levels can keep the symptoms highly manageable. Definitely get a full panel checkup done.

Psoriasis is a serious condition that shouldn't be self-treated with random internet ideas, as wrong products can cause severe burning and infection. Please consult a qualified dermatologist who can give you the right scalp lotions and monitor your condition safely.
