Can running cause lower back pain?

I've been a regular runner for years, and lately, I've started getting lower back pain after my runs. Could my running routine be the reason for this discomfort in my lower back?

Beta, running can put a lot of pressure on your spine if your form isn't right. I always suggest people to do some light hamstring stretches before and after. Give your body a few days to recover and don't push through the pain.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Humare yahan toh log mitti ke raste pe daudte hain, sadak pe daudne se kamar pe jhatka lagta hai. Thoda sarso tel garm karke malish kar lo, aaram milega.

I completely understand how frustrating this feels, especially when you are trying to stay healthy. I used to cry because the back pain stopped me from doing what I loved. Just remember to be kind to yourself and take a break.

My orthopedist explained that running on hard surfaces transfers the impact directly to the lumbar spine, especially if you heel-strike. He advised me to do core-strengthening exercises twice a week and check my shoe wear pattern. It really made a huge difference.

Please don't ignore back pain from running as a minor muscle pull. Sometimes it can be a disc issue starting up. It is always safest to get it checked by a specialist before you continue your running routine.
