Can round ligament pain last all day?

I'm in my second trimester, and for the past few days, I've been having this round ligament pain that seems to last all day. It's usually supposed to be brief, so I'm worried if it's normal for it to continue for so long.

I am in my second trimester and have been feeling this sharp, dull pull on my right side since morning. It has literally been there all day today. Did anyone else experience this for such long hours, or should I be worried and call my doctor immediately?

Listen, round ligament pain is usually just a quick, sharp spasm when you change positions or cough. If you are having a dull ache that is lasting all day, it might just be your body stretching, but don't take chances. If there is any cramping, bleeding, or fluid leaking, go straight to your gynecologist without waiting.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to feel any persistent pain during pregnancy, it used to keep me awake all night with worry. While mild stretching can feel like a constant ache if you've walked a lot, true round ligament pain is usually brief. Please call your doctor just to get that reassurance and peace of mind.

It is so hard when you are in constant discomfort all day and everyone just tells you 'it is normal'. I remember crying out of frustration because the pulling feeling in my lower belly just wouldn't stop. Please be gentle with yourself, rest as much as you can, and always check with your gynecologist to be safe.

During pregnancy, the body stretches a lot to make room for the baby, which can cause these aches to linger. Try resting on your side with a pillow supporting your belly, and avoid any sudden movements. But remember, beta, if the pain is severe or doesn't go away with rest, always consult your doctor.
