Can rotator cuff pain come and go?

I've been having this rotator cuff pain for a while, but it's not constant; it comes and goes. Sometimes it's fine for days, then suddenly it's back. Is this normal for rotator cuff issues, or should I be more worried?

Yes, it definitely fluctuates based on your daily movements and inflammation levels. I kept active with regular brisk walking to maintain blood flow, which helped my recovery immensely. Just make sure to avoid overhead lifting or sleeping on that side until your physiotherapist says it is okay.

I totally get it, it is so frustrating when you think your shoulder is finally healing and then suddenly the pain comes back out of nowhere. Rotator cuff pain is notorious for doing this, especially depending on how you sleep or if you lift something heavy. Don't lose hope, it just needs consistent care.

I know how stressful it is when the pain randomly returns and you start thinking the worst about your joint health. I used to get so anxious every time my shoulder throbbed again. But I learned that healing is never a straight line, and these ups and downs are quite normal for shoulder tendons.

Hey, don't worry too much. It is very common for rotator cuff discomfort to flare up on some days and completely disappear on others, especially if you overused it. Just avoid any sudden lifting for a few days, keep using a cold compress, and if it keeps happening, we will get a doctor to look at it.

Don't fall for online claims about magical oils or random stretches that promise to cure rotator cuff issues in a day. The pain coming and going is typical of a partial tear or impingement. You need to verify this with an orthopedic doctor and probably get an MRI done to know the actual status.

Oh, absolutely. My shoulder behaves perfectly fine all day, but the moment I try to reach for the top shelf or sleep on my side, it reminds me of my exact age! It is a very moody pain. A good hot water bag and some rest usually helps when it decides to act up.
