Can reflux cause arm pain?

Lately, I've been having a lot of acid reflux issues, and also this strange ache in my left arm. Could these two things be connected? I'm worried if it's something more serious.

I literally had this last month and was convinced I was having a heart attack because my left arm was aching. Turns out severe acid reflux can irritate the nerves and cause radiating pain. But please, go to a clinic to get an ECG done first just to be absolutely safe.

It is so terrifying when you feel pain moving to your arm, the anxiety alone makes the chest tightness worse. I spent a whole night crying thinking something terrible was happening, but it was just gastric pressure. Please seek medical help immediately to clear your doubts and calm your mind.

My sleep has been a mess because of constant late-night acidity, and now my arm hurts from sleeping in weird upright positions to stop the reflux. Acid can do weird things, but arm pain is nothing to joke about. Go get your heart checked by a doc, don't just stay awake googling like me.

Please do not take this lightly or assume it is just gas. I once ignored chest and arm discomfort thinking it was acidity, and it turned out to be a serious cardiovascular issue that required immediate hospitalization. Go to the nearest emergency room and get checked right now.

While severe GERD can cause referred pain down the arm, you must always rule out cardiac issues first. Once your doctor confirms your heart is fine, focus on eating smaller meals, avoiding late dinner, and taking your prescribed antacids. Don't play guessing games with arm pain.

With my thyroid issues, I often get slow digestion which causes horrible acid reflux and nerve pain. But whenever arm pain is involved, my doctor always insists on a routine cardiac checkup. Please book an appointment with a general physician to get a proper diagnosis.

In my seventy years, I have seen many people mistake heart trouble for simple gastric gas and vice versa. It is always wise to let a doctor do an ECG to make sure. Once the heart is ruled out, simple lifestyle changes and light food will easily cure your reflux.
