Can recurrent utis be a sign of diabetes?

I've been getting UTIs frequently over the last few months, even after finishing antibiotic courses. My doctor ran some tests, but I'm still worried. Can recurrent UTIs be an early sign of conditions like diabetes?

Yes, indeed. Back in my late 40s, I had frequent urinary infections, and when we finally checked, my blood sugar levels were sky-high. Don't worry, once you get your sugars under control with the doctor's help, the infections will stop. Get a simple fasting sugar test done.

Yes, high glucose in the urine makes a perfect breeding ground for bacteria, leading to frequent UTIs. It is a very common early sign of diabetes. I suggest getting a fasting blood sugar and HbA1c test done at a lab, and then showing the reports to a general physician.

Don't fall for random online cures like drinking cranberry juice all day. Recurrent UTIs are a classic symptom of undiagnosed or poorly managed diabetes, but only a laboratory blood test can confirm this. Go see a qualified doctor and get your HbA1c checked properly.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It is a super common symptom because excess sugar in the body feeds the bacteria. Just get a quick blood test done this week so you know for sure, and definitely drink lots of water in the meantime.

Oh God, I love my sweets and desserts, but high blood sugar can definitely cause recurring UTIs! If the body has extra sugar, the bacteria party down there. Better to get your blood sugar checked by a doctor so you can enjoy your food without any worries.
