Yes, cancer and its treatments can increase the risk of blood clots. But please don't panic. If you or your loved one experiences sudden breathing difficulty or sharp chest pain, please treat it as an emergency and go straight to the nearest hospital.

Malignancies like rectal cancer can cause a hypercoagulable state, increasing the risk of deep vein thrombosis and subsequent pulmonary embolism. Because PE is a life-threatening emergency, any symptoms like sudden breathlessness, chest pain, or coughing blood require immediate ER evaluation.

Yes, cancer increases the risk of blood clots. Keeping an eye on blood pressure and circulation is important, but a pulmonary embolism is a critical medical emergency. If there is sudden chest pain or breathing issues, don't wait for a regular checkup, go to the ER immediately.

As if fighting rectal cancer wasn't enough, we have to worry about blood clots in the lungs too! Yes, cancer makes the blood clot faster, which can cause a serious pulmonary embolism. If you feel any sudden chest pain or find it hard to breathe, skip the internet and run to the hospital.
