Can reading help you sleep?

I've been struggling with insomnia for a while, finding it hard to switch off my mind at night. My grandmother always used to say that reading a book before bed helps. Can reading actually help you fall asleep more easily?

Haan, bilkul help karta hai! If you read a physical book under a soft light, your eyes get tired naturally aur neend jaldi aa jaati hai. Phone par scroll karne se toh behtar hi hai na.

My grandmother always used to tell us to read a book before sleeping instead of looking at screens. It really calms the mind and prepares the body for rest. If you have chronic insomnia, please consult a doctor, but for daily relaxation, reading is a beautiful habit.

I used to lie awake for hours with severe anxiety and racing thoughts, which was incredibly draining. Reading a comforting fiction book really helped divert my mind and gave me a sense of peace. I highly recommend trying it if your mind won't quiet down at night.

Reading a physical book can indeed help reduce stress levels and promote sleep. However, please avoid e-readers with bright blue light as they have the opposite effect. If your sleep issues persist for more than a few weeks, please get checked by a physician to rule out sleep apnea.

It works wonders for me! I replaced my late-night Instagram scrolling with reading just 5 pages of a novel every night, and I fall asleep so much faster now. Just make sure the book isn't a super exciting thriller, or you might stay up all night reading!
