Can radon cause asthma?

We recently moved into an older house, and someone mentioned getting it checked for radon gas. I know radon is linked to lung cancer, but my son has been having more asthma attacks lately. Can radon exposure actually cause or worsen asthma?

I agree with the general consensus, it mostly damages lung tissue directly rather than causing simple asthma. It is best to consult a pulmonologist for a proper diagnosis.

Radon doesn't directly cause asthma, but if you already have breathing issues, inhaling it certainly won't help your lungs. Its main danger is lung cancer, not asthma. Get your home's ventilation checked if you are worried about radon levels.

There are too many rumors online connecting every gas to asthma. Radon exposure is primarily linked to lung cancer risks, not typical asthma triggers. Please go see a qualified chest specialist instead of trying to self-diagnose through internet forums.

Hi! Actually, radon is more connected to serious lung risks like cancer, but poor air quality can definitely trigger asthma attacks. Keep your rooms airy and fresh! 😊 Best to consult a doctor to find your exact asthma triggers.

In our days, we focused on clean air and keeping the house well-ventilated to avoid breathing issues. Radon is a dangerous gas found in closed spaces, so keeping windows open is very important. For mild breathing comfort, you can inhale plain steam ghar pe, but for chronic asthma, you must show a doctor.
