Can pulled groin cause testicle pain?

During my football match yesterday, I felt a sharp pain in my groin area. Since then, I've noticed a dull ache extending down to my testicle. Could a simple pulled groin muscle actually be causing this testicle pain?

My son had a severe groin stretch during his football coaching last year and he started complaining of pain radiating down there. It can definitely happen because all those nerves and muscles in the lower pelvic area are closely connected. We kept him on complete rest and did gentle ice packs, but please get him evaluated by a doctor to be sure.

Yes, absolutely. The nerves in your groin travel very close to the testicles, so a strain there often feels like it is hurting the testicle itself. Rest up and avoid heavy lifting or running. But if you notice any swelling, redness, or if the pain is sudden and severe, please don't wait and see a urologist immediately.

It can happen due to referred pain from the muscle pull. Before you panic and spend thousands on expensive scans or ultrasound tests at private clinics, just visit a general physician first. A basic physical exam is very cheap or even free at government hospitals and they will tell you if you actually need any further tests.

I had a nasty groin pull while doing squats a few months ago and I felt a dull ache in my left testicle for nearly two weeks. It was super scary at first, but for me, it cleared up completely once the groin muscle healed up with rest. I can't say if it's the same for everyone, so check with a professional if it persists.

Even though a muscle strain can cause radiating pain, any kind of discomfort down there shouldn't be taken lightly. It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to reproductive health. Please schedule an appointment with a doctor to rule out things like a hernia or testicular issues.
