Can psoriasis cause low white blood cell count?

My routine blood test showed a slightly low white blood cell count, and my doctor asked about any other conditions. I have psoriasis, and I'm wondering if there's any connection. Can psoriasis affect my white blood cell count?

Honestly, I stayed up till 3 AM reading lab reports and got terrified about my blood counts. Psoriasis itself usually doesn't drop your white blood cells, but some heavy medications doctor prescribes might do it. Skip the late-night panic searches and just ask your doctor about your blood test results.

Beta, these blood reports are best understood by qualified doctors, so do not try to treat this with any home remedies. Make sure you are eating healthy, fresh home-cooked meals to keep your strength up, and take your doctor's advice on any medicine adjustments.

I track all my lab results on my health app, and standard psoriasis doesn't cause low WBC. However, if you are on systemic or immunosuppressant medications for severe psoriasis, they can affect your blood counts. Keep logging your symptoms and do routine blood tests as advised by your doctor.

Psoriasis itself doesn't cause low WBC, but certain oral medications for it can. Please get a regular complete blood count test done and show it to your doctor.

My elders always tell me to drink turmeric milk to boost immunity when blood counts fluctuate. But when it comes to psoriasis and low WBC, it is usually a side effect of specific systemic drugs, so I strictly trust my doctor's advice on adjusting the dose. Do consult your physician.
