Can psoriasis cause joint pain?

I've had psoriasis for many years, but recently I've started experiencing stiffness and pain in my fingers and knees. My friend who also has psoriasis mentioned something about joint involvement. Can psoriasis cause joint pain like this?

Yes, it definitely can, and you should not ignore it. I started having stiff fingers along with my skin patches, and my doctor diagnosed it as psoriatic arthritis. Getting put on the right treatment early made a massive difference and my joints feel so much better now.

It can be a sign of psoriatic arthritis, which affects some people with psoriasis. I consult a rheumatologist at a major hospital here, and they always stress how important it is to report even minor joint stiffness. Ask your doctor clearly about this so they can run the proper tests.

I got terrified when my knees started aching, thinking I was getting joint damage. But my doctor checked me and explained it was just mild fatigue and muscle strain from my gym workout, not arthritis. It is always good to check, so don't assume the worst right away.

If you are balancing a busy work life and notice persistent joint stiffness, especially in the morning, don't delay. Book an appointment with a rheumatologist immediately. Early intervention is crucial for managing psoriatic arthritis effectively.

Great, as if dealing with itchy skin wasn't enough, our joints want to join the protest too! If your fingers feel stiff like rusty pipes in the morning, don't sit and scroll through forums all night. Go see a doctor and get it sorted out.
