Can psoriasis cause cancer?

My doctor told me that psoriasis is an autoimmune condition. I'm a bit concerned about long-term risks. Can having psoriasis increase my chances of getting cancer, or even cause it directly?

No beta, psoriasis is not cancer, so do not keep such scary thoughts in your mind. It is just an imbalance in the skin layers. Keep your body cool, use mild oils like coconut oil to soothe the dryness, and trust your doctor's advice.

There is no direct link like that, so please don't worry. Just like I manage my blood pressure with daily walks and a clean lifestyle, psoriasis also needs proper care. Regular medical checkups and a stress-free routine are key to keeping everything under control.

Honestly, Googling skin symptoms late at night is the worst mistake ever. It will always show you the worst possible outcome like cancer when it's actually just a common skin issue. Save your sleep and just talk to a real doctor instead of reading online horror stories.

Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, not cancer, so you can relax on that front. Keeping your body active, eating clean whole foods, and managing stress helps keep the inflammation down. Just focus on a healthy lifestyle and follow your dermatologist's plan.

While psoriasis itself doesn't cause cancer, some severe treatments like long-term light therapy or immunosuppressants require careful monitoring by a doctor to ensure skin safety. Please discuss any concerns about long-term risks directly with your specialist.

I have had psoriasis for over seven years now and had the exact same fear initially. My dermatologist reassured me that it is a completely different condition and won't turn into cancer. That really helped clear my doubts, so I just focus on managing my skin now.
