Can protein shake cause cancer?

I'm trying to gain muscle and often rely on protein shakes. My neighbour recently questioned if protein shakes can cause cancer due to some additives. Is there any truth to this concern?

I completely panicked last year when I read some random WhatsApp forward claiming protein powders have heavy metals that cause cancer. I researched thoroughly and talked to my doctor; high-quality, lab-tested whey is just processed milk and totally safe. Don't worry!

No, there is absolutely no scientific evidence that protein shakes cause cancer. Just buy reputed, certified brands.

As someone who has a busy 9-to-6 schedule, protein shakes are a lifesaver for my daily targets. There is zero evidence linking clean whey or plant protein to cancer. Just do your research, buy certified stuff, and don't waste time worrying over internet myths.

I totally get it, with so much misinformation online these days, it is very easy to get scared about cancer risks. Rest assured, normal protein supplements made by trustworthy companies do not cause cancer. It is just food in powder form.

I used to be very suspicious of my son's protein powders and kept telling him to eat sattu and sprouts instead. But after reading and speaking to health experts, I realized clean protein powder is safe. Just don't overdo it, and balance it with natural home-cooked food.

Log kuch bhi bolte hain aajkal, ho na. Protein is just a macro-nutrient, how can it cause cancer? Just make sure you buy original products and don't get trapped by cheap duplicate sellers.

While whey itself doesn't cause cancer, some cheap, unbranded powders can have toxic heavy metals or chemical additives that are bad for long-term health. I had severe stomach issues after using a fake product. Please consult an oncologist or a registered clinical nutritionist if you have a family history of cancer.

When my son started gymming, I went to Max Hospital and asked our family physician this exact question. He clearly told me that standard protein supplements are completely safe and do not cause cancer, but we must avoid unverified local brands.

Bro, if protein shakes caused cancer, I would have bigger things to worry about with all the butter chicken and parathas I eat! It's just simple milk protein. Just don't skip real food for shakes, eat your natural meals too.
