Can prostatitis cause prostate cancer?

I've been suffering from prostatitis for a while, and it's quite painful. Does having prostatitis increase my risk of developing prostate cancer? I'm worried about long-term complications.

Good news! Prostatitis is just an annoying inflammation or infection, not a secret training camp for cancer. They are two totally different issues, so you can stop sweating over this and just get your infection treated by a doc.

I was diagnosed with chronic prostatitis last year and was absolutely terrified it would turn into cancer. My urologist clearly explained that prostatitis does not cause prostate cancer, though they can have similar symptoms. Get treated for the inflammation, you'll be fine.

At the hospital where I go for my checkups, the specialists told me there is no direct evidence that prostatitis leads to prostate cancer. However, since the symptoms like burning urination can overlap, you must ask your doctor clearly to run the right tests to rule out anything else.

Getting older means constant plumbing issues down there, honestly! But don't worry, prostatitis is just a painful swelling of the gland and doesn't turn into cancer. Go to a urologist, get some antibiotics, and save yourself the headache.

Prostatitis is mostly an infection or inflammation. My elder brother was very worried about this, and our family elders suggested various herbal drinks, but his doctor confirmed it has no link to cancer. Trust the medical urologist and take the prescribed treatment peacefully.
