Can probiotics cause stomach pain?

My friend suggested I take probiotics for my gut health, but I've been feeling a bit bloated and uneasy since starting them a few days ago. Is it normal to get stomach pain because of them? Should I stop taking them?

Honestly, even if it is just a probiotic, you should not take stomach pain lightly. It is better to stop taking it for a few days and get it checked by a doctor just to be on the safer side. Why take unnecessary risks with gut issues?

Sometimes new probiotics can cause a bit of gas or mild ache initially. Try having some fresh buttermilk or ginger water ghar pe, it really helps soothe the tummy naturally. But if the pain is severe or doesn't go away, please consult a doc immediately.

Our bodies sometimes take time to adjust to new things, so stay positive and don't stress too much. Just listen to what your body is trying to tell you and rest well. Take care of your health, everything will settle down beautifully.

I can only share what happened to me, but when I started a high-dose probiotic capsule last year, my stomach cramped badly for the first three days. Actually, I switched to home-made dahi instead and my stomach was much happier. Maybe check how your own body responds.

Please don't ignore this. I once ignored constant stomach discomfort thinking it was just normal bloating from my diet, and it turned into a major gut infection later. Do yourself a favor and get a quick checkup done before it gets worse.

Bro, same thing happened to me when I tried some fancy probiotic drink. Had crazy stomach cramps for two days straight. I just stopped taking it and the pain vanished, so maybe that brand just doesn't suit u.

If the capsules are causing issues, just stop them for 2-3 days and see if the pain stops. No need to waste money on expensive supplements if they don't suit you. Good old home-made curd is cheap and works best for our Indian tummies anyway.
