Can pregnant ladies sleep on their stomach?

I usually prefer sleeping on my stomach, but now that my belly is growing, it's getting uncomfortable. Is it safe for pregnant ladies to sleep on their stomach, or should I try to change my sleeping position?

Hey, don't worry too much about this. In the early weeks it is absolutely fine because the baby is well protected deep inside, but as your bump grows it will get naturally uncomfortable. Just listen to your body and try shifting to your side when it starts feeling tight.

Haha, with all the midnight paratha cravings and bloating, sleeping on the stomach becomes a distant dream anyway! Better to tuck a cozy pillow under your side and sleep peacefully. Trust me, a full stomach and a big bump need their own sweet space.

Honestly, I used to love sleeping on my stomach but had to stop by the second trimester. It just feels like sleeping on a hard watermelon after a point! Get a good pregnancy pillow early on, it really helps you stay comfortable on your left side.

It is completely safe in the initial days, but as the months pass, doctors always recommend side sleeping to keep the blood flow optimal. Along with getting comfortable on your side, focus on light, easy-to-digest dinner so you don't feel heavy or restless at night.

Active recovery is key during pregnancy, and quality sleep is a huge part of it. While stomach sleeping is okay early on, transitioning to your side is much better for your spine and circulation as the weight increases. Try using a pillow between your knees to keep your hips aligned.
