Can prednisone cause chest pain?

My doctor prescribed prednisone for my severe asthma. Lately, I've been feeling a dull ache in my chest sometimes. Could this be because of the prednisone?

Honestly, I haven't slept in two days because prednisone makes me feel like a wired robot, and then this random chest tightness started! It turned out to be just horrible acid reflux from skipping dinner. Don't panic, but maybe don't skip your meals like I did.

Chest pain is tricky because a hospital will charge you 5,000 to 10,000 rupees easily for cardiac emergency tests. To avoid unnecessary costs, first check if it is simple gastric pain by taking a cheap antacid. If that doesn't work, then definitely invest in a proper ECG right away.

Please do not search for home remedies for chest pain online. Prednisone can elevate your heart rate and blood pressure, which can sometimes lead to serious cardiovascular issues. You must get evaluated by a doctor or visit an ER instead of waiting.

Yes, prednisone can cause bad gas and high blood pressure, both of which can feel like chest pain. Before panicking, sit down, drink a glass of warm water, and check your BP at home if you have a machine. If the BP is very high, visit your family doctor immediately.

Any chest pain while taking a potent steroid like prednisone needs immediate medical attention. It could be severe gastritis, but it can also be a cardiac side effect. Please go to a hospital and get a proper ECG done immediately for safety.

Arrey, prednisone is famous for turning your stomach into a gas factory, which makes you feel like you are having a heart attack! Take a deep breath, pop an antacid, and if the pain still doesn't go away, go let the doc have a laugh at your expense.
