Can post nasal drip cause throat pain?

I have persistent post-nasal drip, and it often leads to a constant tickle and irritation in my throat, which sometimes turns into a sore throat. Is this common? Can post nasal drip cause throat pain, or is it usually something else?

Oh absolutely, that constant mucus dripping down your throat tickles and irritates it, making it super sore. It totally ruined my weekend food plans because I couldn't even swallow my favorite spicy momos. Sipping warm ginger-honey water really helped soothe my throat.

In my fifty years, I've had this countless times during season changes. The constant drip irritates the throat lining, especially overnight, which is why your throat hurts more in the morning. Don't worry, warm salt water gargles twice a day will give you great relief.

Yes, it definitely causes a scratchy, painful throat. Between my baby waking up every two hours and this constant throat tickle making me cough, I haven't slept in days. Just drink some warm water and try to get some rest if you can.

I know how frustrating and painful it is to wake up every single day with a burning throat because of this drip. It really affects your mood and sleep, and makes you feel so drained. Just know you aren't alone in dealing with this annoying issue.

Yes, the dripping mucus causes constant irritation and soreness in the throat. Instead of buying expensive syrups, just do warm salt water gargles and drink tulsi-ginger tea twice a day. It works wonders and keeps things simple.

I once ignored a sore throat from post nasal drip thinking it was just a mild cold, but it turned into a severe throat infection that required strong antibiotics. Please don't ignore it if the pain gets worse or if you develop a fever. Get it checked by a doctor.

Sipping warm herbal tea or water with turmeric can really soothe the raw lining of your throat. However, if you find it hard to swallow, have a high fever, or notice white spots in your throat, please skip the home remedies and consult a doctor immediately.
