Can popping your fingers give you arthritis?

I've been popping my fingers since childhood, it's a habit. My grandmother always warned me that I'll get arthritis because of it. Is there any truth to this? Can popping your fingers actually give you arthritis?

No, popping fingers doesn't cause arthritis. It's just gas bubbles bursting in the joint fluid, but doing it too often might reduce your grip strength over time.

Good news! Popping your knuckles doesn't actually cause arthritis, that's just an old myth our parents used to scare us! It's just air bubbles popping. But still, try not to do it too aggressively! 👍

No, it's a myth that knuckle cracking causes arthritis. However, if your joints actually hurt or feel stiff, it's always better to get some blood tests done, as joint issues can sometimes be linked to other metabolic or thyroid imbalances.

Haan na, even my mother used to tell me that my fingers will get crooked if I pop them! But actually, it is just normal gas bubbles releasing. No need to worry about arthritis, but thoda habit kam rakhein toh hi acha hai.

Medical studies say it doesn't cause arthritis, but constant aggressive popping can sometimes stretch the ligaments. If you ever experience swelling or pain after doing it, get it checked by an orthopedic doctor to be safe.
