Can poison ivy give you a fever?

My child was playing near some wild plants and now has a red, itchy rash. They're also feeling a bit warm and sluggish. We suspect it might be poison ivy. Can poison ivy give you a fever along with the rash?

Whenever we get severe skin reactions or fever in our family, we go straight to a proper multispecialty hospital. A fever from a plant rash could mean a secondary infection that requires prescription antibiotics. Please ask your doctor clearly rather than trying to treat it yourself.

Oh, that sounds so painful! I had a crazy allergic reaction to a wild weed last year and felt super hot and feverish. Make sure you don't scratch the rash at all, and maybe take a cool bath. If the fever stays, definitely see a physician.

Bro, don't stress too much! It's likely just a heavy allergic reaction making you feel a bit warm, or maybe a mild infection from scratching. Just get some medicine from the doc and chill, you'll be absolutely fine in a few days.

A fever means your body is working hard to fight off an allergen or infection, so skip any heavy workouts or running for now. Just rest and let the fever settle down. Once your doctor clears you and the fever is gone, you can resume light walking.

Any kind of systemic reaction that causes a fever can also fluctuate your blood pressure due to physical stress. Keep your body cool and get a full checkup done. Don't ignore it if you feel dizzy or warm.

Having thyroid issues, my immune system is already quite sensitive to sudden allergens, which can cause mild feverish feelings. It's always best to get regular blood tests and follow up with your doctor to understand how your immune system is responding.

Honestly, a fever from poison ivy isn't very common unless the rash is extremely severe or infected. Don't waste time waiting for it to heal naturally. Get a doctor's appointment today and get some antihistamines prescribed.

Dealing with an intense, burning rash and then getting a fever on top of it is honestly so draining and upsetting. I totally feel your pain. Please be gentle with yourself, rest up, and let a professional help you get some relief.

I know how terrifying it is to suddenly get a fever after touching some plant, your mind immediately goes to the worst infection. It is completely normal to feel scared. Try to take deep breaths, and just consult a doctor to ease your anxiety.

Ho na, skin allergy se fever aana kaafi pareshan kar sakta hai. Rash agar scratch kiya toh infection ka dar rehta hai. Aap simple calamine lagao par fever ke liye ek baar doc ko dikha lo.
