Can plaque cause a heart attack?

My father had a heart attack a few years ago, and the doctors mentioned plaque buildup. I'm trying to understand my own risk. Can this 'plaque' that builds up in arteries actually directly cause a heart attack?

Yes, plaque buildup in the arteries is the main culprit behind heart attacks because it blocks the blood flow. Instead of panicking, try basic things like replacing refined oil with mustard oil, reducing deep-fried food, and walking at least 30 minutes daily.

Bro, yes, cholesterol plaque literally clogs the pipes of your heart. My uncle had this and it was a major wake-up call for our whole family to stop ordering junk food every night. Definitely not something to take lightly.

Haan, bilkul sahi baat hai. Plaque jamne se arteries block ho jaati hain na, toh heart attack ka bada risk ban jata hai. Aap thoda routine thik rakho aur oily khana thoda kam karo.

I went through a terrible phase of anxiety after my doctor found arterial plaque during a routine scan. The fear of a sudden heart attack kept me awake for nights. It is a very scary reality, but managing it with medication and diet is possible.

Yes, it is the leading cause of heart blockages. Please take good care of your health, eat simple home-cooked meals, and try to keep your stress levels low.

Yes, plaque buildup is very serious. My father had a minor blockage due to this, and we had to completely change our kitchen habits. Please make sure to get regular checkups done, especially if there is a family history.

Actually yaar, if that plaque ruptures, it forms a clot and blocks the blood supply completely, which causes an immediate heart attack. It is super dangerous. Best to get a lipid profile done once a year to be safe.

Plaque rupture is indeed the leading cause of myocardial infarction. At the cardiac center I visit, the doctors emphasize getting a proper CT coronary angiogram if there are symptoms. Please consult a cardiologist to understand your risk clearly.
