Can plantar fasciitis cause leg pain?

While I know plantar fasciitis is usually heel pain, I sometimes feel discomfort and pain on the top of my foot too. Is it possible for plantar fasciitis to manifest with pain on the top of the foot as well?

Yes, beta, it absolutely can. When my heel was hurting, my whole calf and shin would ache because I was walking limped. I tried so many things, but soaking my legs in warm Epsom salt water and massaging with warm mustard oil gave me the best relief.

It can cause a dull ache all over your lower leg because the muscles tighten up. Applying a warm gel pack helps, but if you experience sudden swelling, severe throbbing, or numbness in your leg, please consult a doctor immediately.

I totally get it, the pain doesn't just stay in your heel and it makes your entire leg feel heavy and exhausted. It is so tough to deal with daily life when walking is a chore. Take it easy and give yourself rest.

Actually yaar, it completely messes up your leg. Because your heel hurts, you walk differently, and that puts crazy pressure on your shins and calves. Wearing comfortable sketchers or orthopedic footwear is a lifesaver.

Yes, leg fatigue and calf tightness are classic side effects because the entire kinetic chain gets disrupted. I always advise people to avoid walking barefoot on marble or tiled floors at home, as it worsens the leg strain.
