Can pepto bismol help with vomiting?

Kal se thoda ulti jaisa lag raha hai. My friend suggested taking Pepto Bismol for it. Does Pepto Bismol actually help with vomiting, or is it more for other stomach issues?

Dekho, Pepto Bismol is mostly for mild stomach upset and nausea, but if you are vomiting continuously, it won't do much. Plus, it is not very common in India. If you can't keep any liquids down, go see a doctor instead of experimenting.

Pepto Bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) can help soothe mild nausea, but it's not the main medication we use for active vomiting. Also, please remember never to give it to teenagers or kids due to the risk of Reye's syndrome. If the vomiting is severe, a proper antiemetic from a doc is needed.

Ah, did a street food adventure go wrong? 😅 Pepto might calm a grumbling stomach, but if you're actively vomiting, your body is just trying to reject something bad. Better to skip the heavy pills, stick to bland khichdi, and let your stomach rest today.

Honestly, Pepto Bismol is hard to find in local pharmacies here anyway, and it's not the best fix for proper vomiting. You are better off taking basic ORS to stay hydrated and consulting an online doctor for a proper anti-vomiting prescription. Keep it simple.

Please be careful. If you are vomiting constantly, your body will lose a lot of water quickly. Instead of trying random OTC meds like Pepto Bismol, try taking small sips of ginger water or electoral. If it doesn't stop by evening, let's get you checked by a doctor, okay?

I can't say if it's medically right, but when I had food poisoning abroad, I tried Pepto Bismol. It helped a little with the stomach cramps, but honestly, my vomiting only stopped after I took a specific medication prescribed by a clinic. Sharing just in case.
