Can pcos cause fibroids?

My mother had uterine fibroids, and I have PCOS, so I'm a bit concerned about my own health. I'm curious if PCOS is known to cause or increase the likelihood of developing fibroids.

PCOS and fibroids are two different things, but they both thrive on hormonal imbalances like estrogen dominance. Getting an ultrasound is the standard way to check for both. Plan your tests at a government-empanelled lab or look for packages online to keep your medical expenses under budget.

Suno, confused mat ho. PCOS and fibroids alag alag bimariyan hain. Ek se doosra nahi hota hai, par dono ke symptoms pareshan kar sakte hain. Faltu darrne ki zarurat nahi hai, bas kisi acche doctor se milo aur checkup karwa lo.

I don't have time for long theories, so here is the deal: PCOS doesn't cause fibroids, but you can definitely have both simultaneously due to hormonal fluctuations. Skip the endless online reading, schedule a 15-minute consultation with a gynaecologist, and get an ultrasound done to save time.

I actually deal with both PCOS and a small fibroid. My doctor explained that PCOS doesn't cause fibroids, but the hormonal imbalance of estrogen and progesterone can encourage both to exist. Regular monitoring, weight management, and tracking your cycles help immensely.

When I accompanied my wife to a specialist at a reputed hospital, the doctor clearly explained that PCOS and fibroids are independent issues. They don't cause one another, but the symptoms can feel similar. It is always safest to consult an expert and get proper imaging done.

While both PCOS and uterine fibroids are highly common gynecological conditions influenced by sex hormones, there is no direct causal link between the two. However, the symptoms like heavy bleeding can overlap. An accurate diagnosis by a doctor via a pelvic ultrasound is highly recommended.

Hey dear, don't stress too much! PCOS doesn't actually cause fibroids—PCOS is about cysts on your ovaries, while fibroids are muscle growths in the uterus. They are different, though they can sometimes show up together. Just have a chat with your gynecologist to be absolutely sure.
