Can patellofemoral arthritis be cured?

I've been dealing with chronic knee pain for a few years, and the orthopaedic doc finally diagnosed it as patellofemoral arthritis. I wanted to know if this type of arthritis can actually be cured permanently, or if it's a lifelong condition.

I was diagnosed with this last year and had terrible knee pain while climbing stairs. Honestly, there is no permanent cure to reverse the cartilage wear, but targeted physiotherapy completely relieved my pain. Do the exercises consistently and you will feel so much better.

Haan na, knee pain is so frustrating. Actually, complete cure toh nahi hota properly, but with the right exercises and avoiding squatting, you can manage it very well. Just consult a good doctor and don't lose hope, ho na.

When I visited a top orthopedic hospital for my knee issue, the specialists told me that while the worn-out cartilage doesn't grow back, the symptoms are highly manageable. Please ask your orthopedic doctor clearly about options like physical therapy, knee braces, or injections. They will guide you best.

It cannot be fully cured or reversed, but the pain can be managed really well with targeted physiotherapy and weight control. Do consult an orthopedician for a proper plan.

While there is no magic cure, simple things like wearing comfortable footwear, avoiding sitting on the floor, and doing basic leg raises at home help a lot. Don't waste money on expensive miracle oils sold online. Just stick to basic physical therapy and consult your local doctor.

Patellofemoral arthritis is a degenerative condition, meaning the wear and tear cannot be completely reversed. However, you can lead a completely pain-free life by strengthening your quadriceps and maintaining a healthy weight. Consulting a qualified physical therapist under your doctor's guidance is definitely the best approach.
