Can parkinson's cause heart attack?

My father has Parkinson's, and lately, we've been very concerned about his general health, especially his heart. I wanted to know if Parkinson's disease itself can increase the risk or directly cause a heart attack.

My father has Parkinson's and once had chest discomfort, which made us panic thinking it was a heart attack. The doctor reassured us that it was actually muscle rigidity in the chest wall, which is common in Parkinson's. Try not to panic, but definitely get any chest pain evaluated by a doctor immediately.

Please do not ignore any heart-related symptoms if someone has Parkinson's. I once ignored my own chest tightness and regretted it big time when it turned out to be serious. Parkinson's can affect the autonomic nervous system, which controls blood pressure and heart rate, so get regular cardiac checkups done.

Parkinson's can sometimes cause sudden drops in blood pressure when standing, which strains the cardiovascular system. Regular gentle physical activity, like short walks, can help keep the heart healthy, but only if their doctor permits it. Always consult their physician before starting any exercise routine.

Parkinson's itself doesn't directly cause a heart attack, but it can affect blood pressure control, which puts stress on the heart. Just like I manage my high BP with regular tests and a healthy lifestyle, a Parkinson's patient needs careful monitoring. Regular cardiac checkups are highly recommended.

It is very painful to watch our elders deal with Parkinson's, and the fear of heart issues makes it harder. Please remember that home remedies or simple herbs cannot prevent heart issues in Parkinson's patients. Always trust their neurologist and a cardiologist for proper safety and checkups.
