Can pancreatic cancer be detected by blood test?

My elder sister passed away from pancreatic cancer, and I'm very worried about my own health now. I try to get regular check-ups. Can pancreatic cancer be detected early just by doing a blood test?

Usually, standard blood tests don't directly detect it, though doctors sometimes track tumor markers like CA 19-9. I use health apps to log my annual blood work trends, but for cancer, scans are needed. Best to ask a doctor to order the exact screening tests.

I have been having some dull stomach pain and I am terrified it is something bad. Can a simple CBC blood test show if something is wrong with the pancreas, or do we have to go through painful scans? Has anyone else felt this kind of panic?

My elders always say that keeping a calm mind is the first step to healing. A blood test can show liver function or tumor markers, but my family doctor says only an MRI or CT scan can give a clear picture of the pancreas. Trust your physician's guidance, they know the right path.

Please keep your mind peaceful during this time. While blood tests help point the doctors in the right direction, they are just tools. Keep your hopes high, eat simple ghar ka khana, and let the medical professionals guide you with patience.

My journey with PCOS made me realize how limited single blood tests can sometimes be for deep organ issues. From what I understand, blood tests alone aren't enough to diagnose pancreatic cancer. Please consult a specialist who can guide you gently through the correct diagnostic steps.

Agree with others, blood tests like CA 19-9 only show clues but cannot confirm cancer on their own. You definitely need imaging like a CT scan for a proper diagnosis.

It is incredibly draining to wait for tests when you suspect something as scary as pancreatic cancer. When we were running tests for my mother, the blood reports were normal at first, which confused us. It is okay to feel overwhelmed, just take it one day at a time.
