Can pain cause a fever?
I had a minor operation yesterday, and along with the surgical pain, I'm feeling a bit warm and under the weather. Could the pain itself be causing a slight fever, or is it something else?

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai na. Actually fever pain ki wajah se nahi, balki us underlying infection ya inflammation ki wajah se hota hai jo pain cause kar raha hai. Doctor ko dikha lo ek baar simple checkup ke liye.
Usually, fever is the body's immune response to an infection or injury, which also causes pain. I'd suggest avoiding any workouts or heavy walking until your temperature normalizes and your doctor gives you the green light to exercise again. Rest is key.
Yaar, when I had a severe toothache last year, I got a mild fever too and couldn't even eat my favourite butter chicken. It turns out the infection causing the pain was also causing the fever. Best to get it checked so you can get back to enjoying your food!
According to my physician, pain itself doesn't directly trigger a fever, but they are both classic symptoms of an inflammatory response or infection in the body. If your fever is high or accompanied by severe localized pain, you should definitely seek professional medical evaluation immediately.
If you have both pain and fever, don't waste time trying to wait it out. It usually indicates an active infection or inflammation that requires proper medical diagnosis. Book a quick consultation or visit a clinic near you to get it sorted quickly.

I had a similar experience when I had a severe kidney infection; the back pain was terrible and then the fever started. It's usually the underlying issue causing both things together. Please monitor your temperature and take care.
