Can ozempic cause muscle pain?

Since starting Ozempic a few months ago, I've noticed more generalized body aches and muscle soreness that wasn't there before. I'm wondering if this is a common side effect. Can Ozempic cause muscle pain?

Listen, don't worry too much but don't ignore it either. Mild muscle aches can happen as your body gets used to the dose, but if the pain is severe or sudden, please call your doctor immediately. Just take it easy today and drink some warm water.

Muscle stiffness can happen when the body is adjusting to new medications. I also felt some fatigue and mild body aches when I was on it. Doing very gentle stretching and slow deep breathing in the morning really helped relax my tight muscles.

Actually, muscle pain isn't the most common side effect but it can happen indirectly due to dehydration or rapid weight loss. My doctor told me that when we lose weight fast, we lose some muscle mass too if we don't eat enough protein. She advised me to keep a close eye on my daily protein intake and hydration levels.

Honestly, between my midnight insomnia and this medicine, my whole body feels like it got run over by a truck anyway. I did feel some weird calf cramps after starting Ozempic. If it keeps u awake at night like me, definitely ask your doc because we need our peaceful sleep!
