Can ozempic cause heart attacks?

I'm on Ozempic for my type 2 diabetes, and I've been hearing some scary things online about it. My neighbour, who was also on it, recently had a heart attack. Can Ozempic cause heart attacks?

Actually, cardiovascular safety is a big topic with these new medicines, and while some studies suggest it helps the heart, any chest pain or racing heart rate must be taken very seriously. I had cardiac complications during a previous treatment and it was terrifying. Please consult your cardiologist immediately if you feel anything unusual.

I always advocate for managing heart health through walking, simple food, and Arjun ki Chhal tea, but a heart attack is not something to discuss lightly online. This is a very strong medication. If you are experiencing any chest discomfort or breathing trouble, please skip the home tips and seek emergency medical care.

From my reading on metabolic health, this class of drugs is often said to reduce cardiovascular risks, but everyone's body is different. I try to be very careful with what I read online because individual reactions can vary wildly. Please talk directly to your doctor if you have any heart-related concerns.

Hey, take a deep breath and don't let the internet scare you. Clinical data actually shows it can protect the heart, but starting any new medicine can cause anxiety which affects your heart rate. If you are feeling genuinely unwell or have chest pain, please let me know and go see a doctor immediately.

It is completely natural to worry about serious side effects when taking strong medications. Generally, this medicine is considered safe for the heart, but please check with your doctor for your own peace of mind.

I have been on semaglutide for over a year now, and my cardiologist actually put me on it to help with my cardiovascular health. However, if you are experiencing symptoms like chest tightness, jaw pain, or shortness of breath, do not wait—go straight to the hospital. Safety should always come first.
