Can oil pulling reverse gum disease?

My gums are bleeding frequently, and I'm worried about gum disease. I read online that oil pulling can reverse it. Is oil pulling an effective way to reverse gum disease?

Just like a good morning walk and proper diet keeps your body in shape, basic oral care is important. But if you have actual bleeding gums or pyorrhea, you should consult a dental expert first. Once they clear you, keeping up with active habits and simple hygiene will help.

Hey, don't worry too much. Mild gum swelling can sometimes improve with good oral hygiene, and oil pulling does help reduce bacteria. But if the gum disease is advanced, you really need a professional cleaning to remove the tartar. Let's get it checked by a doc first, okay?

Yes, I agree that while oil pulling is good for daily maintenance, you absolutely need a dentist's scaling treatment to properly cure gum disease.

I was actually reading up on this yesterday because my gums bleed slightly when I brush. Some articles say oil pulling helps reduce plaque, but others say it cannot cure deep gum pockets. I am honestly confused if I should try it or just book a dentist appointment.

While oil pulling has roots in Ayurveda and can support overall oral hygiene, there is limited clinical evidence that it can reverse established gum disease. It is always best to consult a dentist for a proper scaling and diagnosis before relying solely on home remedies.

I just finished my dental treatment for gingivitis last month. Trust me, I tried oil pulling with virgin coconut oil for two months, but the tartar under my gums didn't budge. The dentist had to do scaling, and only then did my gums stop bleeding. Don't delay the clinical cleaning.

I know how upsetting and embarrassing it feels to deal with bleeding gums and bad breath, it really affected my confidence. I tried oil pulling out of desperation, but it only gave temporary relief. Getting a deep cleaning from a dentist was the only thing that actually saved my gums.
