Can oil pulling get rid of cavities?

I have a small cavity in one of my teeth, and someone told me about oil pulling. They claim it can help with cavities. Can oil pulling actually get rid of cavities, or is that just a myth?

Honestly, I tried oil pulling with sesame oil for like three months thinking it would fix my small cavity. It made my mouth feel really fresh and clean, but the cavity was still there when I went to the dentist. They had to do a regular filling anyway, so in my experience, it doesn't cure them.

Omg, please don't rely only on oil pulling if you have a deep cavity! I read somewhere that if the infection reaches the root, it can cause severe pain and even enter the bloodstream, which is so scary. Definitely see a professional right away just to be safe, but I'm sending you lots of strength!

I totally get why you're looking into this, we all want to avoid the dentist's chair! Oil pulling is actually great for gums and keeping bad breath away, but once a cavity has formed, it's a physical hole. Only a doc can clean and fill it up properly, so don't delay your clinic visit, haan?

See, trying to fix a cavity at home with oil will only delay the treatment and make it more expensive later. A small filling costs maybe 800 to 1500 rupees right now, but if you let it rot, you'll need an RCT which costs 5k plus. Better to get a quick checkup now and save your hard-earned money.

Stay positive and keep your mind peaceful, dear. Our body has its own way of healing, but we must also respect the modern sciences when needed. You can keep doing oil pulling for general oral purity, but let a good dentist take a look at the cavity with love and care.
