Can obesity cause a heart attack?

My husband is quite overweight, and his doctor has been warning him about heart health. He's worried about a serious heart problem. Can obesity really increase the risk of having a heart attack?

My doctor told me my belly is basically a waiting room for heart issues. Carrying too much weight makes the heart work overtime, like an old cooler in peak Delhi summer. Time for us to cut down the samosas!

Yes, excess weight puts a lot of pressure on our blood vessels. Along with walking, I started drinking warm lemon water in the morning and cut down on heavy oil in cooking. It helped me feel lighter and brought my blood pressure down.

Our body is a temple, and carrying excess weight strains the life-giving heart. Stay positive, eat simple sattvik food, and practice daily breathing exercises to keep your mind and heart peaceful.

Obesity is closely linked to plaque buildup in the arteries, which raises heart attack risks. You don't have to do intense workouts right away; just starting with a clean calorie-deficit diet and 30 minutes of walking daily can make a massive difference.

Look, let's not sugarcoat it. Being heavily overweight directly blocks your arteries over time. If you want to be there for your family, start reducing weight now through a proper diet and active lifestyle.

Haan na, weight control is so important for the heart. Extra fat causes high BP and blocks the arteries, ho na. We must walk daily and eat low-fat home meals.

Yes, it absolutely can. Obesity leads to metabolic syndrome, high cholesterol, and clogged arteries. Stop procrastinating and get a structured diet plan and a heart health checkup done immediately.

Excess fat increases cholesterol and blood pressure, which are major risk factors for coronary artery disease. It is very important to manage weight. Please get regular health screenings to keep an eye on your cholesterol levels.

I was researching this and read that visceral fat (the fat around organs) is the real danger for cardiac health, not just overall weight. It releases inflammatory chemicals that harm blood vessels. Very interesting and scary.

I used to get severe chest tightness and panic thinking my weight was going to give me a heart attack any second. It is a very scary feeling. Getting a basic lipid profile and talking to a friendly doctor really helped calm my mind and gave me a clear path forward.

Between my night shifts and binge-eating junk at 2 AM, my weight is creeping up and my heart definitely complains when I climb stairs. We really need to sleep on time and drop the weight before our hearts decide to go on strike.

I am a bit overweight and this thread is making me really worried. Can we reverse the heart risk completely if we start losing weight now, or is some damage permanent?
