Can nuts cause migraine headaches?

I've been trying to eat healthier and started including more nuts in my diet as snacks. However, I've noticed an increase in my migraine headaches recently. Could eating nuts be a trigger for these migraines?

Nuts are very healthy, but certain ones like walnuts and almonds contain tyramine, which is a known trigger for some migraine sufferers. I suggest keeping a daily food diary to see if eating them matches with your headache days.

Yes, nuts have compounds that can cause blood vessels to constrict and expand, leading to headaches in sensitive people. Try avoiding them for two weeks and see if your symptoms improve, but do consult a doctor if the pain is severe.

Personally, peanuts always trigger a bad headache for me within a few hours. I stopped eating them completely and my occasional migraine episodes became much less frequent.

Migraines can have so many different triggers, from food to stress and sleep issues. It is best to consult a neurologist to get a proper diagnosis instead of just guessing and cutting out healthy foods.

Oh man, I love munching on cashews while watching shows, but I noticed a dull ache a couple of times. It really sucks if nuts are the culprit because they are the best snack! Might have to cut back and see.
